Off to the City of a Hundred Spires: Company Vacation in Prague

On Thursday, October 6, 2022, it was finally time again: we set off on our company vacation together. This year, our destination was the capital of the Czech Republic, also known as “the City of a Hundred Spires.”

We gathered at 6:30 a.m. right at our BOOM office in Leibnitz, from where we took a bus to Graz – where a few more colleagues joined us – and then continued our journey towards the Czech Republic. On our way to Prague, we had planned a stop in Český Krumlov. Here, we met with a local guide who took us on a tour through the historic Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage site. After a joint lunch, we then continued by bus to Prague at 3 pm, where we checked into our hotel in the evening and later explored the old town by night.

On Friday and Saturday, our programme included a guided tour of Prague’s Old Town and the Prague Castle District. Of course, we also had plenty of free time to explore the Old Town on our own, visit Prague’s shops, markets and museums, or simply enjoy a typical Prague beer in a Prague pub. In the evenings, we ventured into Prague’s nightlife and visited a few bars and clubs together.

On Sunday, right after breakfast, we boarded the bus that safely brought us back home. On the way back, we made a brief stop in the beautiful Old Town of Linz, where we had lunch at a typical Linz restaurant.

The four days we spent together in Prague flew by, and we laughed a lot, celebrated, and made new wonderful memories that we won’t forget anytime soon. It further strengthened our team spirit. We are all looking forward to our next company vacation in 2023!
